Since graduating with honors from law school in 1995, Eric Newmark has practiced exclusively in the area of criminal/traffic defense. Mr. Newmark has successfully represented individuals accused of a wide variety of crimes and driving offenses, and has earned jury acquittals in cases such as first-degree murder, attempted murder, felony sex crimes, theft, and other criminal cases. |

Mr. Newmark represents clients in State Courts in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, in trials and appeals. He has represented individuals in Federal Court in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota. Respected by both his peers and adversaries for his creative approach to criminal defense and his deep commitment to his clients, Mr. Newmark has been selected as a "Super Lawyer" in a state-wide survey of lawyers in Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine and Minnesota Law and Politics every year since 2000. He was one of the youngest lawyers in Minnesota to ever appear on that list. He has also been named "Top 40" criminal defense lawyer by the same publications. Prior to those selections, Mr. Newmark was recognized by the same publication as a "Rising Star" in the law. Additionally, Mr. Newmark is a former adjunct professor at Hamline Law School, where he taught trial skills. Mr. Newmark is also a volunteer attorney with the Innocence Project of Minnesota, a non-profit organization that uses DNA and other scientific evidence to help individuals convicted of crimes they did not commit.
